Days beginning to get hotter across IndiaDay temperatures were markedly above normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Kashmir and Saurashtra and appreciably above normal in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, south-east Madhya Pradesh, Kutch, south Gujarat and the Konkan and in some parts of Haryana, Punjab and the remaining parts of Assam and Meghalaya. Day temperatures were above normal in coastal Orissa, Goa, north-central Maharashtra, Telangana, coastal Karnataka and some parts of the Bihar plateau. They were below normal in some parts of west Madhya Pradesh and in the remaining parts of the Bihar plateau and Punjab. They were normal in the rest of the country barring Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and south interior Karnataka from where data were sparse. Night temperatures were below normal in the plains of west Uttar Pradesh and Punjab and in some parts of the Bihar plateau, Haryana and coastal Andhra Pradesh. They were appreciably above normal in some parts of sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, west Rajasthan, Gujarat, and south-central Maharashtra and above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, the Konkan, Goa, Vidarbha, Telangana, north interior Karnataka and the remaining parts of the Bihar plateau. Night temperatures were normal in the rest of the country barring Arunachal Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh from where data were sparse. Very light rain fell at isolated places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, the Bihar plateau and east Madhya Pradesh. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country. Rain or snow is likely to fall at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers are likely to fall at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Punjab, south Tamil Nadu, coastal and north interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Light rain is also likely to fall at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, the Bihar plateau, south-east Madhya Pradesh, central Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Telangana. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.
