Bansi Lal to meet Sonia today

Haryana Chief Minister Bansi Lal will meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi later in the day today to chalk out the modalities for the consolidation of the Haryana Vikas Party-Congress alliance in the state.

Congress spokesman Ajit Jogi told UNI, ''Mr Bansi Lal is meeting Mrs Gandhi today and any decision will be taken only after that.'' He was replying to a question on whether the Congress would join the Haryana government.

While accepting the Congress support on the confidence motion, Bansi Lal had agreed to abide by any decision taken by Sonia in the Haryana matter, said Jogi. This included a change in the state leadership, if need be.
