Showers in South

Heavy rains are likely at isolated places in Orissa, east Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, coastal Karnataka and Kerala during the next 48 hours.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in Orissa, Konkan, Goa, at many places in West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar plateau, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Telangana, coastal and south interior Karnataka and Kerala, at a few places in Assam and Meghalaya, in the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, central Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, and at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Gujarat, Saurashtra, Kutch and Tamil Nadu.

Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in the Bihar plains. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Heat wave conditions prevailed in parts of Kashmir.

Day temperatures were above normal in parts of Haryana and Rajasthan. They were markedly below normal in Punjab, in parts of hills of west Uttar Pradesh, in the remaining parts of Haryana and were below normal in parts of north west Madhya Pradesh.
