BJP to go it alone in south BiharThe Bharatiya Janata Party today refused to have any adjustments with the Samata Party for the Lok Sabha constituencies of south Bihar. A party release quoting BJP Vananchal committee spokesman Uma Shanker Kedia said the party would contest all 14 seats of south Bihar on its own. The BJP represented these constituencies in the last two Lok Sabhas. In 1996, the party had won 12 of the 14 Lok Sabha seats in the region. It repeated the feat in the 1998 general elections.
