Widespread rain in coastal Karnataka

Heavy rain is likely to fall at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the next 48 hours.

Rain or thundershowers fell at most places in coastal Karnataka, at many places in the Bihar plateau, west Rajasthan, Konkan, Goa and Kerala, at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, West Bengal, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, north interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.

Very light rain fell at isolated places in the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan and central Maharashtra.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Orissa, Konkan, Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, east Madhya Pradesh, Rayalaseema and south interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan, south-central Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and north interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Day temperatures were above normal in some parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in Haryana, Punjab, Jammu, west Rajasthan and some parts of west Uttar Pradesh.

They were below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, south Konkan, Goa, Telangana and in some parts of Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Gujarat region, Rayalaseema and of north interior Karnataka.
