West Coast may receive heavy rainfallHeavy rain is likely to fall at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the Konkan, Goa and coastal Karnataka in the next 48 hours. Rain or thundershowers fell at most places in the Konkan and Goa, at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Haryana and Kerala, at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, central Maharashtra and coastal Karnataka, and at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka. Very light rain also fell at isolated places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Jammu & Kashmir. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country. Rain or thundershowers are likely to fall at most places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Konkan and Goa, at many places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, north Rajasthan, south-central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in the rest of the country except south Rajasthan and Gujarat state where the weather will be mainly dry. Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of the Bihar plains and above normal in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, south Telangana and Rayalaseema. They were appreciably below normal in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and west Rajasthan and below normal in Kashmir, north Gujarat, north-central Maharashtra, Vidarbha and north Telangana. Day temperatures were normal in the rest of the country.
