UP to move SC against EC order

The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to move the Supreme Court against the Election Commission order banning the official visits of state ministers during the Lok Sabha election period.

Disclosing this to the media, Chief Minister Kalyan Singh said the EC directive was 'discriminatory' as it had barred the state ministers from official visits during the election period, but exempted the Union ministers.
