Monsoon lashes Goa, Konkan

Heavy rains are likely at isolated places in Orissa, Bihar plateau, Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Vidarbha, coastal Karnataka and Kerala during the next 48 hours.

The Southwest monsoon has been vigorous in Konkan and Goa, and active in Madhya Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in coastal Karnataka, at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Orissa, Bihar plateau and central Maharashtra, at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, east Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat region, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala, and at isolated places in east Rajasthan, Saurashtra, Kutch, Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu and interior karnataka.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.
