Monsoon vigorous in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim

Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim in the next 48 hours.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at most places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, and at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, the Bihar plains, the Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

A few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Gangetic West Bengal, the Bihar plateau, central Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha and isolated places in the rest of the country, barring Rajasthan, may also have some rainfall. The weather will be mainly dry in Rajasthan.

The south-west monsoon has been vigorous in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and active in Assam, Meghalaya and coastal Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers fell at most places in the Konkan and Goa, and at many places in Kerala and Lakshadweep.

A few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, the Bihar plains, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, central Maharashtra and Vidarbha, and isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Gangetic West Bengal, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka also received rainfall.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.
