Rains forecast all along the West Coast

Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, the Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala in the next 48 hours.

The south-west monsoon has been vigorous in Rayalaseema and active in coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers fell at most places in coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at many places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, the Bihar plateau, Maharashtra, Goa, Telangana and Lakshadweep, and at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Assam, Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, Punjab, west Madhya Pradesh and south interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers were also recorded at isolated places in the plains of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Very light rain fell at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, east Rajasthan and Gujarat. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers have been forecast at most places in coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Maharashtra, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep, and at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers are also likely at isolated places over the rest of the country barring south Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch where the weather will be mainly dry.
