4 miners killed in colliery crash

Four miners were killed and 28 injured, seven of them seriously, in an accident at Parascole West colliery in Kajora area of West Bengal's Barddhaman district yesterday.

Eastern Coal Fields Limited sources said today that the accident was caused by an airblast in the underground mine which led to a big chunk of roof collapsing on the miners.

Official sources said the injured were admitted to ECFL's Kajora hospital and Kalna central hospital.
