Moghul descendants 'ready to fight unending war with Pakistan'

E-Mail this report to a friend

Descendants of Moghul emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar have offered to ''bring back home the occupied Kashmir, which is solely a part of India,'' if the Union government permitted them to shape a 'Baburi Lashker.'

In a letter to Prime Minister A B Vajpayee, a copy of which was released to the press yesterday, octogenarian Baigum Sahaba Laila Umahan, the granddaughter of the Moghul emperor and president of Moghul's Family Society of Hyderabad, said that the descendants of the Moghul emperor were "ready to fight an unending war with Pakistan, if it continues to create trouble in Kargil."

She felt that India should cross the Line of Control to make the infiltrators ''taste the bitter tonic of tears.'' ''If the government of India permits, we (the Moghul Family Society of Hyderabad) will shape a 'Baburi Lashker' to bring back home the occupied Kashmir, which is solely a part of India'', she added.

The Moghul Family Society extended its support for the Indian troops engaged in flushing out the intruders.
