Nights get hotter in Kashmir

Cold wave conditions prevailed in parts of Bihar plains.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in interior Orissa and in parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Marathwada, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka, and were below normal in parts of southeast Madhya Pradesh, north interior Karnataka and in the remaining parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Marathwada and of Tamil Nadu.

They were appreciably above normal in Kashmir and in parts of Sikkim, Haryana, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh and of Saurashtra, and were above normal in parts of the hills of west Uttar Pradesh and of Gujarat region.

They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh from where the data were sparse.

Rain or snow occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Himachal Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at isolated places in Punjab.

Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in west Rajasthan.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or snow is likely at a few places in the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at few places in the plains of west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and north Rajsthan.
