Rain, snow forecast in Jammu and Kashmir, parts of Himachal Pradesh

Rain or snow is likely to occur at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar islands, Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Punjab, south Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in Punjab and in some parts of Haryana and below normal in Kashmir.

They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Gujarat, Kutch and in some parts of Bihar, Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Vidarbha. They were above normal in southeast Madhya Pradesh, north Konkan, south central Maharashtra and the Telangana region.

They were normal over the rest of the country other than in Arunachal Pradesh, plains of Uttar Pradesh, southwest Rajasthan, north central Maharashtra, Marathwada and Karnataka, from where data was sparse.
