Orissa orders CBI probe into Anjana gang-rape

The Orissa government has ordered a Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry into the gang-rape of Anjana Mishra.

A formal letter in this regard will be sent to the Centre today, state Home Secretary Sanjiv Chandrahota told the media yesterday.

Mishra, who has been fighting a legal battle against former state advocate general Indrajit Ray for attempting to rape her, was allegedly gang-raped inside the Barang forest on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on January 9.
