Vajpayee to visit Bihar on March 6

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is expected to visit Bihar on March 6 to lay the foundation of two mega power projects and the construction of a new rail line.

According to official information, Vajapyee would lay the foundation stone of the 2000 megawatt NTPC projects at Barh in Patna district and at North Karanpura in Hazaribagh district. Barh is the home constituency of Railway Minister Nitish Kumar while the Hazaribagh constituency had sent Union Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha to the Lok Sabha.

Union Power Minister P Kumaramangalam, Sinha, Nitish Kumar and a host of other ministers are likely to accompany Vajpayee .

Railway sources said the prime minister is also likely to inaugurate the construction work of the proposed Hazaribagh-Ranchi new broad gauge line at Hazaribagh during his visit.
