Special Correspondent in Lucknow

The special designated court dealing with the Babri Masjid demolition case may today frame charges against Union Home Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani, Union Human Resource Development Minister Murli Manohar Joshi and his deputy Uma Bharati and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh.

The Bharatiya Janata Party leaders have been accused of instigating the demolition of the disputed Ayodhya structure.

The case has been delayed as several of the 39 accused in the case had filed a revision petition in the Allahabad high court, seeking a stay on the proceedings before the special judge.

Though the court has refused to stay the proceedings, it is yet to dispose of the revision petition.
