SAD political affairs meeting indefinitely postponed

The Political Affairs Committee meeting of the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal scheduled for today, has been postponed indefinitely after the recent political developments, including the replacement yesterday of Bhai Ranjit Singh as the Akal Takht jathedar.

Punjab Chief Minister and SAD President Parkash Singh Badal had on February 7 had called the meeting today to discuss the agenda for the Khalsa tercentenary celebrations as sought by Bhai Ranjit Singh.

According to a spokesperson, the next date for the party's PAC meeting has not been decided.
