Tohra alleges police entered Golden Temple

Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee president Gurcharan Singh Tohra claimed on Saturday that the police entered the Golden Temple complex last night and searched the SGPC office.

Addressing a news conference in Amritsar, Tohra said the "unwarranted" operation was a "provocative act, which could have serious repercussions".

He charged that the search was aimed at intimidating the SGPC authorities.

Tohra urged the Punjab government to desist from such actions, warning that otherwise "the authorities would be responsible for the consequences".
