Cold wave follows rain to Nashik

Rains lashed Nashik city, and Nandgaon and Manmad towns of the district on Wednesday.

According to reports, the unseasonal downpour lashed the city for nearly half an hour early Wednesday. The city and its suburban areas are in the grip of a cold wave after it.

Meanwhile, cold wave conditions prevailed in parts of Punjab and Rajasthan.

Night temperatures were below normal in Jammu and in parts of Assam, Haryana and of northwest Madhya Pradesh.

They were appreciably above normal in Meghalaya, northeast Madhya Pradesh, north central Maharashtra, Telanganga and Karnataka, and in parts of sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Marathwada, Vidarbha and of Tamil Nadu.

They were above normal in southeast Uttar Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh and in remaining parts of Tamil Nadu.

They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunchal Pradesh, Orissa, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh from where the data were sparse.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in west Madhya Pradesh, at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Kerala.

Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in central Maharashtra.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, south Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region and Kerala.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.
