Russian radio praises KhuranaFormer Union minister Madanlal Khurana has received accolades for his stand against the attacks on Christians from an unexpected quarter -- Russia. The State-owned broadcasting station, Golas Rossia, assailed the Vishwa Hindu Parishad for its violent campaign against Christians in India and praised Khurana for raising his voice in their support. It is perhaps the first time in the post-Soviet era that an official Russian organ has commented bitterly on religious tensions and conflicts in India. The radio said the campaign against minorities by fanatic Hindu organisations posed a threat to the unity of India. UNI
