AP cyclonic storm intensifies

Yesterday's deep depression intensified into a cyclonic storm and lay centred 700km south-east of Nellore at 0530 hours today, according to the Cyclone Warning Centre.

It is likely to intensify further and move in a north-easterly direction.

Squally winds with speeds ranging from 45 to 50 kph is likely along and off the north-coastal Andhra Pradesh.
