Yor account of the Flight 814 hijacking is first class! While we have not yet seen even the barest of details on television newscasts here (USA), you have provided complete (as possible) details of the ongoing drama. We'll stay tuned with the hope that the lawbreakers will be swiftly be dealt justice, and the passengers and crew be safely delivered. We have no hard evidence of any deaths, isn't it?

Dear Hard workers,

I am touched and impressed by the depth and speed of your coverage of the hijacking story. I fact I logged on at 12.30 am to see if you and Satyam guys are up to the standards of online reporting.

To my surprise, I found scant coverage of the breaking news at Satyam's site.

But I am completely satisfied by the depth of your coverage in such a short time.

Keep up the spirits.

Quite a nice report, but the matter is very sad. We collectively pray to God for the safety of the passengers and their early release. We wish the passengers think positively and collectively, remain united in this situation of crisis but that is what they should be doing.

I wish sincerely that they muster all their courage to handle the situation.

May God help them soon

It is quite a surprising and shocking news indeed and we would like to know why the hell the plane was allowed to leave Indian airspace. Were all the concerned authorities sleeping or what? If such things are allowed to happen at will the general public would be in a state of panic. It is high time we call Pakistan's bluff and teach it a fitting lesson.

This is a unfortunate incident, and need to be partially blamed on Indian politicians. It is a terrible mistake to let the plane off from Amritsar airport.

Terrorism need to be dealt with power and strict control and not with cowardice (nature of Indian politicians). Anyway negotiate with terrorists, give them what they want and release the Indian citizens.

The terrorists should be brought back to India and killed (To serve justice) and this should be a lesson to future terrorist activities. At this point of time all the interest should be to save innocent passengers.

That at least one passenger had been killed and one is grievously injured. Reports said the slain passenger had been stabbed to death.

The person who ordered not to fuel the aircraft at Amritsar airport should be held responsible for the killing of these people.

Action should be taken against him.

This is one another instance of security failure at the airport. The local police who control the security are to be held responsible. One way of the check on the local police could be:

A. The security checking personnel should have an identity number.

B. They should be called to duty at random to various check points.

C. the duty at each duty point should not exceed half an hour.

D. The men and the duty post should be selected by a computer on a random basis.

A system on the above lines will greatly avoid any possibility of pre-planned act involving security personnel.
