E-Mail this report to a friend

Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan, a veteran politician and chief of Pakistani Ittehad, has predicted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief's ouster from power by the end of September this year.

Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan, who according to Pakistan's political history always led the opposition against the ruling government, told in an interview that Sharief should not boast about the longivity of his regime as all is set for his departure.

Nasrullah ridiculed the prime minister's recent statement that he cannot be removed. He said people from Keamari in Karachi to Khyber in the North West Frontier Province were fed up with the Nawaz Sharif government's anti-people policies and therefore, they want an early change in the present set up.

Replying to a question, Nawabzada Nasrullah said a consensus had developed between the Pakistani Ittehad and other like-minded parties on a one-point agenda - ''Nawaz hatao mulk bachao''.
