The high-level team would have detailed discussions with Assam Governor, Lieutenant General (retired) S K Sinha, and Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta during the visit.

The home secretary would also preside over a special meeting of the strategy group comprising senior representatives of the state government, para-military forces and the army.
