Monsoon continues in Andamans

Heavy rains are likely at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, south Orissa and coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 48 hours.

The southwest monsoon has been active in Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Rayalaseema, at many places in the Bihar plains, Konkan and Goa and coastal Karnataka, at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal, the Bihar plateau, east Madhya Pradesh and Kerala and at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh, central Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at most places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and coastal Andhra Pradesh, at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, south Orissa, southeast Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Konkan and Goa, Vidarbha, interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places over the rest of the country outside Rajasthan where the weather will be mainly dry.
