5 feared killed in Bihar boat mishap

Five people were feared drowned when a boat capsized in the Kosi river near Ekhar-Narayanpur ghat in Saharsa district last night.

Superintendent of Police Anil Kishore Yadav said today that the boat was carrying 24 people, of whom 19 managed to swim ashore. The missing included two women and two children.

He said efforts were on to trace the missing people and divers have been pressed into service. However, no body had been recovered so far.
