Andamans registers heavy rains

Heavy rains are likely at isolated places in West Bengal and Sikkim in the next 48 hours.

The Southwest monsoon has been active in Assam and Meghalaya.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa and east Madhya Pradesh, at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar, plains of Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, Konkan, Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, at a few places in Orissa, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places over the rest of the country outside west Rajasthan and Gujarat where the weather will be mainly dry.
