Mohammad Safdar, the expelled staff member, has been given time till August 12 to leave the country.

On July 7, Pakistan had expelled an Indian high commission official, Yograj Vij, on similar charges two days after Pakistani intelligence agents abducted him in Islamabad and beat him up.
