2 IAF pilots on rescue mission killed

Two Indian Air Force pilots, on a mission to rescue a German tourist, were killed when their Cheetah helicopter crashed in bad weather today in Himachal Pradesh, an IAF spokesman said.

Bad weather during the past two days had hampered the IAF's attempts to save the trapped German tourist who had been part of a travel group.

The Cheetah crashed in Kargyak area near the Ladakh region. The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
