Congress names 9 spokespersons for elections

The Congress today announced a panel of nine spokespersons for the general elections.

They are Kapil Sibal, Margaret Alva, Najma Heptullah, M Hanumanthappa, Eduardo Faleiro, Anand Sharma, Sibte Razi, Ashwini Kumar and Ambika Soni.

Meanwhile, the All India Banjara Seva Sangh, which used to be headed by former Maharashtra chief minister Sudhakarrao Naik today announced its support to the Congress. Sangh president Ranjit Naik and other office bearers today called on Congress president Sonia Gandhi and extended the Sangh's wholehearted support to the party. They also suggested that some of their leaders should be given party tickets in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
