15 killed in Bihar boat tragedy

At least 15 people were feared drowned when a boat capsized in the Ganga near Rajandipur village of Bhagalpur district in Bihar today.

Seven bodies have been fished out so far, official sources said adding that divers were looking for more.

A majority of the victims were farm labourers crossing the river to harvest crops. Some 40 people were aboard when the mishap occurred.

District Magistrate Anhsuli Arya and Police Superintendent K S Meena have reached the spot to supervise rescue operations.
