Monsoon lashes the North-East

Heavy rains are likely at isolated places in West Bengal, Orissa, west Rajasthan, coastal Karnataka and Kerala during the next 48 hours.

The Southwest monsoon has been vigorous in north interior Karnataka and active in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa and east Madhya Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at many places in Bihar plains, east Uttar Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Telangana and Rayalaseema, at a few places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Assam, Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar plateau, hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Konkan and Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh and south interior Karnataka, and at isolated places in east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, central Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at most places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at many places in Arunchal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep and at a few places over the rest of the country.
