Karnataka sericulture minister too quitsKarnataka minister of state for sericulture D Nagarajaiah today resigned from the J H Patel ministry. Nagarajaiah, the sixth minister to quit the ministry after the split in the Janata Dal, told newsmen that he was disgusted with the latest political developments and was forced to resign, since developmental activities had come to a standstill in the state. He has not identified with either the Deve Gowda faction or the Patel group of the Dal. Patel had sacked eight ministers, including former deputy chief minister Siddaramaiah, while two others, Basavaraj Neelannavar and Muniyappa Udappa had resigned as they had identified themselves with the Gowda faction. Another minister, D Manjunath, had announced his resignation, while backward classes minister Malikaiah Guttedar had sent his resignation to the chief minister's office. Municipal administration minister Mirajuddin N Patel had also resigned from the ministry. Four ministers -- M C Nanaiah, B L Shankar, B A Mohiddin and Jayaprakash Hegde -- were staying neutral. UNI
