Accused in fodder scam found dead in Beur jail

An accused in the fodder scam was found dead in the Beur Adarsh central jail today.

Senior Superintendent of Police Sunil Kumar said in Patna that Ashok Kumar Tudu , aged 65, a former treasury officer, who was in judicial custody, was found dead in his cell early this morning.

The jail is located near the state capital Patna. Former chief minister Laloo Prasad Yadav was lodged there for a while until he was released on bail.

The police officer said the body had been sent for post-mortem.
