Indian submarine made operational in Russian port

After undergoing extensive overhauling in Russia for over two years, Sindhuveer, an Indian submarine, was made operational yesterday at the northern ship-building port of Seberemorsk.

The diesel-run submarine, which was being readied to meet the demands of the Indian submarine fleet, will shortly leave for Indian shores, Voice of Russia has reported.
