50 first-time MPs urge Balayogi not to dissolve LS

About 50 Lok Sabha members -- all first timers -- urged Speaker G M C Balayogi to use his good offices to persuade the President not to accept the recommendation of the Union Cabinet and dissolve the house.

The MPs belonging to various political parties also wanted to meet the President but the move did not succeed.
