An official spokesperson said unidentified militants beheaded Farooq Ahmed, a special police officer, at Lotta-Basant Garh village in Udhampur district on Saturday evening.

He said police recovered two decomposed dead bodies, one each from river Chenab and Martara-Ramban, also on Saturday evening.
