New government will be known by tomorrow evening, says JayaAIADMK chief J Jayalalitha today said by the shape of the alternative government will be known tomorrow evening. In her first interaction with the press after the Vajpayee government fell on Saturday, Jayalalitha said there was no pressure on her party to stay out of the alternative government. Jayalalitha was speaking to newspersons at her hotel just before she left for talks with Congress president Sonia Gandhi. The AIADMK leader said her meeting with Gandhi was to decide the shape and contours of the alternative government. She said she would be meeting RLM leader Mulayam Singh Yadav and West Bengal Chief Minister Jyoti Basu later in the evening. Asked whether the AIADMK would be part of the coalition or support the alternative government from outside, Jayalalitha said, "I cannot say anything right now''. ''There is no pressure on us to stay out of the government'', the AIADMK leader said when asked about the Tamil Maanila Congress's remarks that the AIADMK should not be part of the coalition. Jayalalitha said she had spoken to Congress leader Sharad Pawar and some other leaders and a broad agreement had been reached to avoid any kind of financial crises in the country following the defeat of the Vajpayee government. She said the Budget will be passed with some modifications if necessary and later, if need be, there could be a supplementary budget. Asked about Defence Minister George Fernandes's view that Atal Bihari Vajpayee should be again invited to form the government, she said, ''We will not let that happen''. UNI
