Karunanidhi denies he is meeting Mahajan
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president M Karunanidhi today dismissed as 'rumours' reports that Union Information and Broadcasting Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Pramod Mahajan was planning to meet him.
"It's only a media creation," he told the media at the lobby of the state assembly. Media reports today said Mahajan would meet Karunanidhi to seek the DMK's support for the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government.
He also declined to attach any political significance to state Health and Electricity Minister Arcot N Veerasamy's visit to New Delhi this morning. He had left for Delhi to participate in the health minister's conference, he added.
