Nothing cool 'bout Kashmir!

Severe heat wave conditions prevailed in Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan and in parts of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.

Heat wave conditions also prevailed in Assam, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, south Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and in the remaining parts of Haryana, and in parts of Bihar plains and of north central Maharashtra.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Manipur, north Gujarat region, Marathwada, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and in the remaining parts of Bihar and of central Maharashtra, and in parts of Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.

They were above normal in Gangetic West Bengal, Punjab, Saurashtra, Rayalaseema and in the remaining parts of Tamil Nadu.

They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunchal Pradesh and Kutch from where the data were sparse.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya and sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunchal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Haryana, Punjab, north Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.
