Decision on Ugandan woman's deportation put offThe Delhi high court has deferred till October 6 the decision on deportation of a Ugandan woman who is said to have full-blown AIDS and has been detained under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotrophic Substances Act. A division bench comprising Justices Y K Sabharwal and K S Gupta deferred the hearing yesterday after being told that the government in Kampala had not communicated its decision on the court's direction that some senior officials of the Ugandan high commission in New Delhi should stand surety for the detenue, Dorothy, to be deported. Counsel for the petitioner had been directed to take up the matter with the high commission and tell the court about the outcome. UNI
