Konkan, Goa in for more rain

Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places in Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala during the next 48 hours.

The Southwest monsoon has been vigorous in Himachal Pradesh and active in Haryana.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in West Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Goa and Kerala, at many places in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, East Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Rayalaseema and Lakshadweep, at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, sikkim, hills of West Uttar Pradesh and south interior Karnataka, and at isolated places in Ganegtic West Bengal, plains of Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and coastal Karnataka.

Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in Bihar plateau, Saurashtra, Kutch and Central Maharashtra.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar islands, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, hills of West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, at a few places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, plains of West Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Telangana and Rayalaseema, and at isolated places over the rest of the country.
