Rain in parts of Orissa, Maharashtra

Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places in Orissa, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and north interior Karnataka during the next 48 hours.

The Southwest monsoon has been active in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Vidarbha and Telangana.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at many places in Punjab, Konkan, Goa and coastal Andhra Pradesh, at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal, the hills of West Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, Rayalaseema, interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in East Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Saurashtra, Kutch, madhya Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.

Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya and Bihar plateau.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.
