Rains to continue in Bengal, Bihar

Heavy rains are likely to occur at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar plateau, East Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala during the next 48 hours.

The Southwest monsoon has been vigorous in Gangetic West Bengal and active in the Bihar plateau and coastal Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in Konkan, Goa, Kerala and Lakshadweep, at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar plains, Gujarat region and at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Orissa, East Uttar Pradesh, in the hills of West Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Telangana, north interior Karnataka and at isolated places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, East Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch, madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.
