Motilal Vora rules out tie-ups for MP assembly poll

Madhya Pradesh Congress poll campaign commitee chairman Motilal Vora today ruled out the possibility of his party entering any alliance with other parties for November's assembly election, saying the Pachmarhi declaration had made it amply clear that alliances would be a rare thing in the future.

He said, as the declaration, a coalition will be considered only when absolutely necessary. This had given new hope and 'boldness' to the party's rank and file, particularly in Madhya Pradesh, he said.

Vora said the process of selecting party candidates had already begun with a joint meeting of three central observers and 88 observers from all over the state.

The former Uttar Pradesh governor claimed the Congress have enough 'ammunition' against the Bharatiya Janata Party, its principal rival in the state.
