35 feared drowned

At least 35 people are feared drowned when their boat capsized in flood waters at Mechakichapori in Dhemaji district on Thursday, an official report said.

It said a boat pressed for rescue operation capsized with about 50 people on board. Fifteen people were rescued but the rest are reported missing.
