Heavy rain forecast in the north-east

Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the next 48 hours.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Assam and Meghalaya and coastal and north interior Karnataka, at many places in the Bihar plains, Konkan and Goa and south interior Karnataka, at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Orissa, the Bihar plateau, east Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, central Maharashtra, Rayalaseema and Kerala and at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar islands, west Madhya Pradesh, the Gujarat region, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunchal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at a few places in Andaman and Nicobar islands, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, the plains of Uttar Pradesh, central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka and at isolated places over the rest of the country outside west Rajasthan where it will be mainly dry.
