Wet spell in parts of Bengal

Heavy rains are likely to occur at isolated places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Bihar during the next 48 hours.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar East Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Laksahadweep, at a few places in West Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, West Madhya Pradesh, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Telangana, Rayalaseema and interior Karnataka, and at isolated places over the rest of the country outside West Rajasthan, where it will be mainly dry.

The Southwest monsoon has been active in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and East Madhya Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in Assam, Meghalaya and Bihar plains, at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar plateau, East Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka, and at isolated places in West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region and coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in north interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.
