Downpour in GujaratHeavy rains are likely at a few places in Gujarat during the next 48 hours. Heavy downpour is also expected at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Orissa, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and coastal Karnataka during the same period. Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, West Rajasthan, Saurashtra, Kutch and Vidarbha, at many places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Gujarat, Telangana, coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar plateau, plains of West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Rayalaseema and south interior Karnataka, and at isolated places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, north interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep. Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, hills of West Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country. Rain or thundershowers are likely at most places in East Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Orissa, West Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka and Kerala, at a few places in West Bengal, Sikkim, hills of West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in Arunchal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar and the plains of Uttar Pradesh. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country. The day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Assam, Meghalaya and Bihar plains, and above normal in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir and Madhya Pradesh. They were appreciably to marked below normal in coastal Orissa, Haryana, West Rajasthan and North Gujarat, and below normal in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, East Rajasthan, South Gujarat, Saurashtra and Marathwada. The night temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in East Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and North Gujarat, and were above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, plains of West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, East Rajasthan and north central Maharashtra. They were appreciably below normal in parts of West Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch, and below normal in parts of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.
